Redacted text godzilla11/21/2023 This war explains why there’s a cave painting of Godzilla and Kong fighting each other in King of the Monsters and Kong: Skull Island. It would seem that the battles between the Titans took place at least partially in the Hollow Earth. Given Godzilla’s age, it may even have been Godzilla himself who participated in the war. The Titan War discussed in the trailer was apparently waged between an ancestor of Kong’s and a member of Godzilla’s species. There was a war, and they’re the last ones standing”. Kong trailer, it was said that “ the myths were real. Legendary currently doesn’t own the rights to the monster. Of course, no one involved in the film has outright confirmed that this creature was meant to be Anguirus, and that’s likely due to licensing issues. These characteristics can be found on both Toho’s Anguirus and King of the Monsters’ mysterious skeleton. It can be clearly identified as Anguirus – and not just a different giant ankylosaur – because the Toho kaiju has a few physical features that are unique to him, such as the spike on his nose, and the shape of the spikes on the back of his head. At close inspection, it becomes blatantly obvious that the skeleton belongs to none other than Anguirus. Right as everything is blown to pieces, a skeleton of a Titan can be glimpsed. The shot in question is the moment where Godzilla’s home is destroyed by the nuke. When asked on Twitter about any unfound Easter eggs in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, director Mike Dougherty said that Anguirus “ may or may not” be in the scene with Godzilla’s underwater city.
